Hi,

Passed my Open Water today, no stopping me now.

My wife thinks that it is a mid-life crisis, but I have snorkelled since I was 10, so after 40 years, I can finally afford to scuba.

Learning a lot from this forum, thanks for all of the great information.

Got all of my kit together over the last week or so.

Wetsuit
Mask
Snorkel
Fins
Boots
BCD
Regs
Cylinder
Computer
Weights

All ready for my 1st 'proper' dive this evening then realised that I had not bought a hood. The water temperature might be 18deg at the moment, but I am not a sadist.

Looks like it will have to be tomorrow. Just trying to think of anything else that I might have forgotten.

Lucky that my dive buddy is also my employee, so he can't complain too loudly about my incompetence.

well done for passing, i remember how good i felt when I was told I had passed the training and was now a fully fledged diver.

and it would be sado masochist :) .

sadist likes inflicting pain/suffering
masochist likes receiving pain/suffering

reminding me of an old joke

Masochist to sadist " beat me "

sadist " No"
