Hello
I'm trying to source an accredited snorkelling course in the Hull and East Yorkshire region. Most BSAC and SAA clubs do not accommodate snorkellers (probably because scuba has become so accessible). I'm an adult and for most other adults snorkelling is below them.
I've received offers to take me snorkelling in the past, but thereafter these offers have been withdrawn due to my lack of formal training. There are snorkelling lessons available at Driffield Sport Centre, but they rarely run these infrequent BSAC accredited courses.
Any suggestions are welcome. I'm also looking for other snorkellers in the region to share the experience and half the risk. I think the problem is that while popular with a select few, we snorkellers or wannabe snorkellers are few in number - too few to establish or formalise a club.
I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
Phil from Hull
