Dear All,

Now that your local LIDAL store is selling shiny bits at knock down prices(whilst stocks last)

Is there a case for the diving press to find out the true cost of shiny bits or even perhaps test some of these bargin basement buys?

Just a thought.

Keep on spendin'

They should do that in 'DIVE' magazine - might drive away some of the adverts and then they might have to actually write some decent editorial to make it worth reading!!

Lets be fair. All magazines are financed by advertising (unless you prefer one that looks like Undercurrents). You would not pay for DIVE if you paid what it cost to produce without any advertising. As a rule, one page of advertising pays for one page of editorial matter. So lots of adverts indicates a healthy magazine. The problem is to NOT let the advertisers dictate the editorial content which of course they all think they should.
