Hi Wolfy
My experience is limited to three shore dives opposite Diving Services Anglesea, TR titled Holyhead TR Sept 2003.
Easy access.
We dived on springs and no appreciable current.
Easier navigation clockwise around the islet.
Cheers
Graham
PS I plan to do more there!

As far as I remember Treaddur Bay is about 8m max as far out as you can possibly swim. Sandy bottom but perfect for training or just qualified dives. Althought there was some divers on a boat just a little further out doing a wreck at ?20m? but i could be confusing my sites (as usual!!)

Try your local dive shop , most have a good stock of books , but the one yor looking for is " The Essential Underwater Guide to North Wales , Volume One " by Chris Holden .VG HR . ?16.95
Its published by Calgo Publications . Chris discribes practical info for divers and snorkellers and for shore and boat dives from Barmouth to South Stack . His directions to where to park or where to launch your boat are absolutly bang on and easly to follow . He includes gps postions and transits to find what you want to dive .
Got a copy last year , and found it very usefull
