View Full Version : Manufacturing standard for diving cylinders

Can anyone tell me the current manufacturing standard for diving cylinders, that has replaced BS5045/1/3. I know the current test standard, but not the manufacturing standard.
I know I've got it somewhere - just can't find it.

BS EN 1964-1:2000 - Transportable gas cylinders - Specification for the design and construction of refillable transportable seamless steel gas cylinders of water capacities from 0.5 litre up to and including 150 litres - Part 1: Cylinders made of seamless steel with an Rm value of less than 1100 Mpa.

For alloy cylinders:
BS EN 1975:2000 - Transportable gas cylinders - Specification for the design and construction of refillable transportable seamless aluminium and aluminium alloy gas cylinders of capacity from 0.5 litre up to 150 litres.

EN 1089 Gas Cylinder Identification which sets new standards for stamp marking, precautionary labels and colour coding.
