i just brought a Rear Entry Drysuit but it has no dump valves is this a good drysuit

i just brought a Rear Entry Drysuit but it has no dump valves is this a good drysuit

It may be a good drysuit for activities such as sailing and kayaking, but will be no good for diving. When you put the drysuit on, it traps a layer of air. As you descend this air is compressed and the suit squeezed onto you. These squeezes can be quite painful, cause excessive bruising and potentially lead to a decompression incident as a result. In additon, the compression leads to a loss of buoyancy which needs to be compensated for.

In order to compensate for these factors, you need to be able to introduce air into the suit and of course you will also need to dump the added air.

Depending on the type of suit (ie it's suitability for diving)you can have inflators and values fitted. However, most suits of this kind are quite lightweight and not substantial enough for the rigours of diving (abrasion, cuts, damage etc.

Hope you didn't spend too much money, if this is to be your main diving suit, I fear you may have bought a lemon!

i will be useing it for things like kayaking as i help out with the young cubs scouts on a monday evening we some time goe canoeing an kayaking so would this be good for things like this i need something to keep me dry when i go with them as origionaly i had a wetsuit but i want to wear my clothes under the drysuit would i get wet if i did this or would i stay dry also would i need to exit from the water if i needed to go to toilet can i use a catherer {condom} device and how would i fit it

Its fine for what you want. If you wear gloves then ensure they go over the cuff seals otherwise water will seep in. If you don't use gloves, the force of the water you are going through may force its way past the wrist seals. As for other leaks, any suit can get a leak but they are made not to leak. You don't say if it is old or new? You are less likely to get a leak in the activity you are doing than a diver, because you are not being subjected to the pressures we do.
Re toilet. I've never used a catheter type pee system, but if you go to a dive shop or send it back to the manufacturer you can get a pee zip fitted (small version of the rear entry seal) That way you don't have to go around with a bag of pee attached to you and you don't have to keep replacing them, risk them bursting. these are usualy only used for long dives where you can't nip out or waite for a pee.

thanks for the advice but i am intrested on the catheter type system i would need this (small version of the rear entry seal) That way i don't have to get out of water to go to for a pee so would it be better to get this catherter pee system and go around with a bag of pee attached to me and just empy it when i have exited from the water no one would see this bag of pee that's attached to me i would feel safe with this device attached to me so haw would i use it

Roll it on to your willy, tighten the jubilee clip until it hurts, then undo it a bit so the colour comes back. When it's full, discreetly empty it into a pint glass in the pub, leave the glass on a table and watch the fun when some clever dicky nicks your 'pint'.
