hi all
im after a fuji f 30 body as i have a full underwater set up (marco, fish eye, barrel lense, and external strobe with fiber optic leads) how ever sadly the camera died on a flight back from nepal (thanks to baggage handelers in dehli who could have done less damge by playing football with it:( if anyone has a one then will take it of your hands with a spare housing if you have one of them as well
if not then watch this space as i may sell on the ports and buy a housing for my nikon d70 or d 300 :S
cheers in advance

Hi Rich

I'm about to invest in a DSLR, so my F30 and housing will be up for grabs - if you would like to make a reasonable offer!

Cheers ... Mark

Just as a matter of interest, although owners already know this, the Fuji F30/31 (the latter also has "Face Recognition", otherwise identical) was a particularly good, excellent in fact, series of cameras (if it can be called such) to the extent that it is still in considerable demand even though thoroughly out of date. Yes, of course they were on the cheap end of the scale but they batted way beyond their weight. Those of you that have one, treat it like gold, you'll never again get a better camera/housing combo at the price.

It's a pity that Fuji who, of all people, really should know better, then lost the plot and joined the rest of the Megapixel brigade.

Richard,

My camera, in its housing, goes into my camera bag (with assorted lenses, ports etc) and that is accompanied baggage. Even if you prefer unaccompanied baggage, first stick it in its housing, apart from saving space it protects the camera. Some say to not seal it but the paltry difference in pressure (the hold is pressurised to the same level as the cabin in conventional passenger planes) makes no never mind in my book.

Of course Nepal tells me that you didn't take the housing with you but the camera's small enough to fit in a shirt pocket so what's it doing in the hold? :)

jet airways wouldn't allow electronics in the cabin :S on flight out one guy made the mistake and thought it was just batterys they wouldn't allow and had to leave his nikon at security :S though he got to carry around 6 Nikon battery's for a month :D so didn't want to take any chances of having to leave it in Nepal or India! it was inside my boot wrapped in 2 socks but i think the end of the snapped walking pole (also thanks to jet airways) got in and smacked it one
will try and get this f 30 of MR Frog
thanks all
