Cupar Sub Aqua Club have spaces available on a Scapa Flow trip for the week 14th-21st August. Given the closeness of the event, if you are - or might be - interested, please respond straight away.
Cost for 7 days (Stromness land-based) B&B and 6 days diving aboard the Radiant Queen, with the legendary Emily as skipper is £395.
Price includes shared accommodation, 2 dives per day, the use of a single 12l or 15l cylinder if required use of lead weights (please bring your own belts)
air fills (nitrox available charged extra, trimix by prior arrangement) as much tea, coffee & biscuits as you can consume! After dive pints of tea served as standard!!!!
Emily not only runs an excellent boat and gives fantastic dive briefings, but she also cooks wonderful food [available every lunch time on board at extra cost - or just bring your own sandwiches] and runs an all-round high class but fun operation. Everybody came away from our last trip with her raving about how good she and this operation are.
Don’t be put off by the fact that Scapa is more or less ‘on our doorstep’ and "I can do it any time". Many of the wrecks are starting to show the signs of time, rather rapidly now and it soon won't be what it once was. Scapa is widely viewed as being amongst the best wreck diving in the world (and there are good scenic aspects to it too). Best of all, much of the rest of the world is put off by the ‘cold water’, but we of course know better!
Scapa is suitable for experienced Sports Divers and above. And it’s not just wreck diving - Orkney is a ‘magical’ place and well worth the visit even if you weren’t to get wet. Steaming back across the flow on a summer’s evening has to be experienced.
If you are interested, or think you might be, please email me straight away for additional details.
Regards, Wayne Murray
