View Full Version : Help in locating an Xmas present - U/W MP3 Players

Hi all,

I?m looking to buy one of the underwater mp3 players that are in diver this month as an xmas present for the other half. I followed the link to the Oceanic Worldwide site, but it gives only options for shipping within US. I?m not planning a trip stateside anytime soon, so does anyone know where I can get one of these near to Stockport?!?

Google?d without much luck! All the suppliers seem to be in the US, and are out of stock.

There are/were some on eBay, though ?250 for a 64Mb mp3 player seemed a bit steep. Seems to be <?50 for the player and ?200 for the housing...

Thanks Nick, i'll have a look. Diver said they were ?400 so that is cheaper than expected. I guess its the same as it is with underwater cameras, the camera itself is fairly cheap, but all the cost is in the case to keep it waterproof and the buttons to operate it whilst underwater.

Sorry to inconvenience you Lorraine. We were sent one by H2O Audio in the USA. At the time Diver went to press there seemed to be some lack of decision as to whether Oceanic SW was going to import it or not. I have since been sent one from the UK distributor, although not someone we have any experience of. I think it's a new venture for him. It will be featured in Diver Tests in November.
