I know its the rainy season in kenya in May. Dont think this will affect other areas of a potential honeymoon such as the safari, but wondered what people know about diving during this time?
Is it any good in May? Is it going to be very current-y? Will I be sea sick?
If you have been in May, then how rainy is the rainy season? Is there still potential for a tan?

Can't help with May, although I was part of the UK Joint Service team excavating the Portuguese wreck in front of Fort Jesus, Mombasa many years ago :p
You may have looked here already for advice on Kenya: http://www.bsac.com/divelocations.asp?itemid=1125&itemTitle=Kenya§ion=1236§ionTitle=Indian+Ocean+%2F+Africa
Apologies if you have.

I went to Mombasa in May some years ago. It may be more rainy than at other times, but it was not very rainy by UK reckoning. In fact I found the weather very much to my taste. Hot, but not too hot, with occasional sprinkles to freshen things up. Not sure how typical that is, mind.
You will definitely get a tan. Indeed, I got quite badly burnt on cloudy day, foolishly thinking that the cloud cover meant no need for sunblock.
As for diving, I can't help much. That was in my pre-diving days, so I was limited to a bit of snorkeling out of dug out canoes.
I'd love to go back.
Have a great time.

Not May but went there in August 2001. Stayed at Diani beach. Diving not that brilliant - lots of dynamited or dead reefs. Dived with Barrakuda dive team who are still there so must be doing something right. http://www.divediani.com/
Equipment was fine - but they wanted you to stay out in the boat, not comfortable (like a rowing boat with an engine) for second dive and tried to rush the surface interval to 45 mins rather than come back and go out again!
I just recall lots of sea urchins waiting to dig into you when you got out of the boat - and walked over the reef (yes they did not have any jetty) in your full kit sometimes battling against waves. I hope things have moved on. I do not recall even writing anything of real interest in my log books - sorry if that puts you off.
Weather and water temp was fine then. You will get a sun tan but do not expect open blue skies - this is the tropics/equator. rain showers and sun and cloud and breeze. The beaches are white sand and palm trees but you may get bothered by the "beach boys"
Expensive for what it was compared to the Red Sea - but makes a great mix with a land safari and our kids (two families) really enjoyed the whole thing.
Best bit for us was was Pilli Pipa http://www.pillipipa.com/index.htm
We did not dive with them (wrongly booked on to a snorkeling trip) but they were great. We were on a traditional dhow, found the best places for snorkeling (better that our dives with Barrakuda), had some great chats about the area, customs etc. had the most memorable meal ever on their own island where the cooks sang the menu to us (the crab claws are still the biggest that I have ever seen) watched dolphins in our own bay while eating ,.:)
My recommendation - check out pilli pipa.
