Had a great week diving with Dive Pembrokeshire UK. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They took us on some great dive sites, weather was good and vis around 7 metres. Back at The Dive Lodge they have a BBQ area where we sat out and looked over their own lakes.
They have two great boats of their own, these are not hired in, unlike other another operator in the area. We got a personal service and they knew what they were doing.
We shall certainly go back again. Dont get them mixed up with someone else using a similar name, or you might be disapointed.

While I agree with your endorsement of an operator you had a good time with, panning another in the area whom you may or may not have dived with (you don't say in your posting) is really very naughty!
I think most people who have dived in Pembrokeshire over the last 5-6 years will have experienced the "friction" between the operators (whom I believe once worked together?) I don't think it is really our place to comment on it, is it?
By the same token I have "overheard" various Scapa skippers commenting on each others practices but wouldn't contrive to "stir" by mentioning instances here.... its a natural occurance and happens in other places too- Weymouth and Oban also spring to mind...
Having said that.... :) I dived with "the other lot" earlier in the year and while the diving, dive guide, shop, air, planning etc side of things was fine... the boat and skipper were rather dreadful- no knowledge of shotlines, was unable to find wreck using a sounder... basic BSAC boatee stuff!
I believe the boat AND skipper were borrowed while repairs and holidays of permanent staff where underway though so by all means don't read this as a non-reccomendation.
(I have dived with both operators in Pembroke now, on balance the difference is insignificant IMVHO)

Hi,
I've been diving with the 'other operator' for three years now, and can only praise them.
It's true that they are very laid back and on one occasion we had to wait an hour for the boat to turn up; but the diving is fantastic.
The dive operator has now got two hardboats that he uses and two RIBS that he owns. The hardboat skippers are both great, though my personal favourite is Llanstadwell. It's got plenty of room for kitting up and kit storage, plus an pair of excellent skippers who really know the local diving; and the food is great if you pay the extra few quid for lunch.
Everyone's entitles to their own opinion but I have to agree with Ben and say that you've got to have tried both operators to make fair comments. I've also dived with Len and his setup is also fantastic and as Ben says there's very little difference between the two operators IMO.
Mark :-)
