I'm contemplating buying a Commando/TD; has anyone taken their crack bottle on aircraft...experiences?

Declare it at check-in & expect to be asked to prove it is empty (by opening and closing the valve). If you don't declare it, expect to be dragged back to security when they X-ray your bag and see it. Airport security may be bored but they're far from stupid.

Why bother taking it even the very restrictive luggage these days?
Empty and proven it should be accepted, in the USA they MIGHT want the valve removed.
Then again i dont think the bottles have a place on a BCD at all!

Does anyone still use the crack bottle? I thought the general consensus was that they were a bad thing?
buy a blanking plate and throw the bottle away.
buy a blanking plate and throw the bottle away./best thing I did with one was buy an M18 valve and turn it into a suit inflate cylinder.
