Alright,

Allow me to first introduce myself, my name is Randy, I am a web developer and online marketing person. Anyhow, I'm not here to push any products or services. I actually need your help with something.

We are doing a website and need to post some Frequently Asked Questions for a dive torch website. What are some common questions that you guys (the people using them) would ask about a dive torch?

Let me know as soon as possible! Thanks guys!

Randy

magnetic or twist on / twist off switch.
what kind of bulb, wattage, manufacturer and estimated lumen output.
what kind of beam - whether flood or spot. if spot, how narrow in degrees.
battery type, run time on full battery.
how many o rings.
construction of casing
depth testing.
warranty

all the usual stuff i guess.

As well as lumen, it would be useful to include lux and equivalent wattage if possible, because otherwise, whatever torch you're trying to compare it against will be guaranteed to show a different unit of measurement! ;)

Rechargable or batteries

If rechargable can it be recharged without taking it to bits

Able to take a Goodman Handle?

Is the beam adjustable?

Rough RRP of bulb (sometimes you think you have a killer of a torch and then you discover actually the price of a replacement bulb in the killer)

Good as a Primary, better as a backup? What you consider to be the main use of the torch

Can you change light heads, ie GreenForce

Does it have a decent warranty on it, ie Princeton Tec

Does it come with all the gubbins, ie Princeton Tec. They include lanyard and batteries etc with their torch. Not all companies do.

Do you have a service for reconditioning it/mending it/servicing it when it breaks or floods? For instance Kowalski in the UK offers servicing on their torches

Advice when/if it does flood

Can you lock off the torch for travel so that it doesn't accidentally switch on and them melt the face of the torch when flying. (I've seen it happen).
