For someone in the industry, you should know that the balls lost on (or in) an golf club belong to the club and its theft to just take them.

A few years ago a diver got a jail sentence for doing what you propose.

If you pay someone for those golf balls he/she then comes under the 1997 ACOP HSE diving at work act and like what Edward said a diver got jailed a few years ago for stealing golf balls.

Thanks

Guys, I understand all the ins and outs, but there are divers out there that do this as a business and pay the clubs to dive and keep what they retrieve to sell on, those are the people I am interested in talking to, thanks danny

The diver concerned was charged with theft and jailed because he didn't have the permission of the golf club to dive and collect the golf balls.
