Hi everyone. My first post here with Nick B holding my hand!!!! I'm his other half (some sould argue better half!!!! :-P) It's his fault that our bank manager is now going mental at the hammering our bank account has taken on dive kit and holidays! Needless to say, it's a case of 'if you can't beat them, join them' so I'm proud to say that following a week's holiday to Gozo last week in order to complete my open water training, I am now a fully qualified Ocean Diver. Woo hoo!
Nick has told me how useful this forum can be for newbies, and if there's nothing else I have picked up from him, that no matter how experienced you can be in this sport, you can always learn stuff about how to do it better and safer.
Thanks to Mike Halligan for sponsoring me for my Race for Life event that I am doing on Sunday. Wish me luck!!!

Welcome aboard Jacqui. Just don't blame your "worser" half too much for now being a diver. Don't worry about the bank manager either, going mental is what they do.

If the bank manager wants it back he shouldn't have lent it in the first place, and he's probably had more than enough in state handouts anyway.
Best of luck on Sunday,

Thanks Mike. Took part in the R4L today. Weather was perfect and I completed the course in just a shade over 40 mins :D Thanks so much for your support.
Kind regards
