In the east of England, I only know of Leybourne Lakes, Gildenburgh and Stoney Cove. Does anyone know of others? Stoney is a bit far from Essex; I would welcome any suggestions.

Wraysbury could be possible. My old club also used to go to Grangewater, South Ockendon, but I have no idea if you can still dive there.

You could have a look at Lakeside. Never dived there myself, but may be OK for elements of training or trying kit out. Gildenburgh Mid-week is great - not that many other divers and viz tends to be better (not so much silt stirred up).
Cheers.
