Have read the HSE site but can't quite understand.

If someone is taking still pictures underwater for profit, be it sold as art or as part of an arcticle to a magazine, a BSAC AD qualification is OK? ( ...as long as all the other HSE recommedations are applied)Is this correct?

If taking underwater footage ( moving pictures/film, then you need a HSE qualification, and there is no recreational qualification that is aprouved? Is that correct?

I have a friend that is considering doing work as an UW camera man for others, as well as shooting and producing his own DVDs for resale. What qualifications should he aim for?... and where can you do those courses?

Thanks
Jens

For HSE Courses, try the underwater centre at fort william - I have heard good reports of it.

One attitude would say that if you get the HSE qualification, since he would be profitting from the diving activity, then he is garuanteed to be covered!!! Why run the risk of uncertainty, given the size of fines they are dishing out these days.
