I'm looking for a a Mares 300 bar din adapter for this MR12 reg to convert from the A clamp to international.

I'm in Malta (Europe) and prices are pretty high for it, so I'm hoping someone has one lying around or knows where I can order online for a low price including delivery.

Thanks a lot.
Matthew

They used to pop up on Ebay quite regularly new for about £10.

Surely any 300 bar DIN adaptor would do rather than just a Mares one?

Or am I missing something as usual?

I don't use Mares so the question could be irrelevant.

Is the unit you've acquired compatible with a 300 bar set-up?

I think thats what he's trying to do.... convert his 1st stage from A clamp to Din.... rather than using an adaptor.;)

Okay, I've just checked my spares box, and I have one of these.
Never been used.

Make me an offer...

I made a bad choice of words, what I was attempting to say was. Are the internal working of the 1st Stage suitable for 300 bar?

Yes I would certainly think so.... I don't know of a modern manufacturer that doesn't make their 1st stages suitable for use with 300bar tanks. They just offer a choice or conections to your cylinder valve... usually 300bar which is din and 232bar A clamp. A 300bar 1st stage will screw into a 232bar cylinder valve. A 300bar valve is just 2 threads deeper than a 232bar valve although they are the same fitting...which is 5/8 bsp.:)

:( Thanks I'm only seeing them at £25 + £10 at the moment. Which for me is a lot considering basic new 1st stages come up for not that much more. But if I can keep the MR12 that would be great.

Yes, MARES make the 300bar conversion for the MR12 so without doubt the body is 300bar designed. But the full retail price for the conversion hardware is prohibitive for the lower priced 1st stages. Better to just buy the new 1st stage DIN enabled from the LDS. However, if you have existing sets of regs you want upgraded to DIN then trying to find cheaper conversion hardware is a real plus!
