Shore diving training sites

When I learnt to dive 16 odd years ago I did my first wonderful dives surrounded by cuttlefish in chessil cove.


I now find myself an instructor living in hertfordshire and teaching my students in dark, silty and uninspiring quarries.


Does anyone know of safe, reliable, easily accessible shore dives suitable for training and within sensible distance from herts?


My future students will be for ever indebted

Sheringham beach, North Norfolk? It's reasonably reliable in August and September, there's a YHA and camping and you just walk out into the sea and you're over chalk.

I know its not in that easy reach from Hertfordshire but I would highly recommend Kimmeridge Bay, I had a fantastic shore dive there as a trainee( now qualified) and its great for novice divers
