Boat handling Logbook

I just got my sticker for the boathandling course. I was told during the course that i have to record the time i spend driving / handling a boat. Do i record this in the dive log book or is there a different logbook?
How would this log be checked if one goes for the Diver Cox'n SDC?

It is a RYA publication, obtainable from chandlers (though not sure of overseas availability) or via their on-line shop. It is a very simple record of what was driven, in what connection and and for how long - I guess a spreadsheet would suffice.

I guess a DC assessor would want to read through the log to establish a fair vaiety of experience.
