Hi all, just on the look out for any ideas that might help bolster club funds by way of social event fund raising?
ta in advance.
1. Run raffles with any social events. They are always popular - especially if you have donated prizes which will maximise funds for the branch.
2. Not an event, but what about branch tee shirts/sweat shirts/rugby tops. Find somewhere that does good quality items at a reasonable price and then add a pound or two to the price for the funds.
3. Barbeque (we found a hog roast to be the best value) and price tickets at ?10.00 per shot to cover food. Bring your own drink. We made about ?175 on that last year. If you run another raffle - then more.
4. Run something like ten pin bowling nights - maybe adding 50p per person onto the price for organising it - for branch funds.
5. Make your branch nights a social event by running little competitions - identify the baby photos, underwater photos, quiz night. Charge a fee for entering and see if you can either get donated prizes or use half the entry fees for prize money.
Hope these help.
Regards.
Bill
We have a kit auction. People donate kit that they no longer want, or sometimes services. Dive slave for a day (pick up from house, put kit in car, put kit on to boat etc etc) is always a good one.
Hold it in a pub and you're bound to get good prices, especially as it's all in a good cause.
