If you can help I'd be grateful! I've not dived for 2 years and need a refresh. I have now emigrated to Eilat (unfortunately!!!) and most Schools are PADI only one BSAC. Being VERY picky about which Instructor to dive with I ask a PADI Instructor he said I would have to do pool stuff all over again - snorkelling and all! I hate to snorkel so can anyone tell me what a BSAC Instructor would advise for a refresh? Couldn't find a website for this. Hopefully no snorkelling!!
I then want to do my Sport Diver but again the PADI equivalent is (I think) Advanced Open Water which seems to have a lot more dives to qualify - I'm not lazy but would rather go with BSAC if I can - just looking for advice on this one. Sorry to go on!

The refresh is covered in "Safety First" (see below). I would recommend you reconsider your verdict on snorkelling and consult a qualified instructor to see where you have geenrated your dislike and deal with it.

Sorry, PADI AOWD reads across to Ocean Diver. To read across to Sports Diver you would need to reach PADI Rescue Diver.
Hope this helps,
Mike
Sports Diver + 20 logged divers = Rescue Diver.
Ask to do the Padi Scuba Review, then do a few shallow dives then build up.
Happy & Safe Diving.
