Abu Soma, Red Sea - any info, please?

Hi,

We've booked a week at the Abu Soma Intercontinental at the end of June. Does anyone have any information about the diving there? I believe there is a dive centre attached to the hotel, but their website is in German.

Thanks for the reply. It's actually about 50km south of Hurgada, so I was hoping to get some information on the dive centres in Abu Soma. But I'll look at the reports you suggest.

Do not know the area but hopefully you will receive some info from someone who has been there.

Do not think the reports I have suggested will give much info on your resort. :o

Which is the German dive company? If it is Orca then it should be ok.

Only time I dived with the company was a holiday in Hamata some years ago. They were very good.

Abu Soma is distinctly south of Hurghada and different sites. Ive dived them as part of a liveaboard but cant say any more than that about the area as never touched shore.
