Hi there
Im after a general insurance policy for those "sunday trips to stoney" etc ..the run of the mill day diving we all do..not the main holiday "2 weeks abroad" stuff....
Im thinking of trying the IDEC offered via the bsacweb site

Wolfy,
Ask for a sample policy or ask specific questions. I found Divemaster very frank, helpful and efficient. For the third year, I have their annual Divemaster IDEC cover. I also have annual Divemaster Travel Insurance, again for the third year. It covers
"Residents domiciled in EU states
"Residents domiciled outside the EU by written agreement
"Conventional holidays
"Pre-booked round trips over 24hours in length commencing in and returning to the EU or other countries by written agreement
Now, there is no "or" to distinguish those three conditions. Neither is there an "and" to link them.
Divemaster also sell all risks kit insurance. I suggest you think carefully what it is you wish to insure and against what risks. (My own kit, for example, is on my household contents policy, "all risks". Therefore, that cover was not required when I needed to negotiate travel and medical cover for 5 weeks a while ago.)
I can provide a copy of the Divemaster papers if you wish to peruse.
Regards,
Mike
