The Diver's Comprehensive Guide to The Farnes & Holy Island
For all you divers that dive this area and haven't got this book, you ARE missing out on some excellent diving.
I have been chatting away to Ron for some time now on AOL messenger, and the other day, we were chatting about a new position found here by a local fisherman , who got us to free his anchor for him....... low and behold, it was trapped in a U-Boat.... Asking from for some help and advise to see if he might know anything.
Anyway, the convo got onto how Dover has changed since he was around he during the 50's. etc etc etc and said that he would put his book in the post for me.
Well this morning it came. Signed by Ron,,,, and i haven't put it down since, Now i never have been to the Farnes , but reading this book makes me feel that i should go and have a good look round and do the odd dip or two.

Ron, gives in his book, some of his own accounts of diving , history of the places, boat owners and even lifebaot and fishery officers chit chat. Animals that can be seen and even how to make a nice meal with them after a days diving.
Anyway, Ron , thanks for the book and congratulations for making it a good read to someone that is far away .
