View Full Version : Bauer Junior 2 V Coltri Sub
I am looking at a small 300 bar compressor for home filling.
Its down to the two above, but have been told " by certain people" to keep away from the Coltri Sub as its unreliable.
However the Coltri Sub is ?500 cheaper than the Bauer Junior 2.
So a couple of questions
Does anyone use either and what do you think of them ?.
Is the Coltri Sub unreliable?.
and is the Bauer Junior 2 worth the extra ?500.
The compressor wont get heavy use maybe 10 fills a month but I dont want one that will need replacing in 5 years.
Thanks Gary

Hi Gary,
Go for the Bauer. It has an excellent pedigree. The charging hose is also "user friendly" with the pressure gauge and bleed valve built into the charging clamp so the filter isn't drained down when you change cylinders. If you buy new you can ask for a dual pressure set up, 225 and 310 bar. If you go to the dive show you can look at both makes there.

Hi Phil
The Bauer it is, thanks for the help.
Not bothered with dual pressure as it adds a few hundered quid on. As its only really for me, 300 bar is fine.
Thanks for the advise.
