New snorkeller

I wonder if any one can help , Ive eventually got the gear to do some snorkelling around north east uk coast , Just wondering if anyone on here does much snorkelling around here , if so any chance i could tag along when you go , Just a safety in numbers thing until i get the hang of it , I did alot of snorkelling in my younger days but not in the cold north sea so any advise /guidance and help appreciated ...Cheers

If you are aound Newcastle, I seem to remember the Diving Centre on the end of Stowell Sreet (Bath lane?) used to take groups out to St Mary's Island

Hiya mate , im actually in middlesbrough , but am willing to travel abit . Ide prefare to snorkel locally , got some lovely coast round here , i fancy going somewere like hummersea,kettleness robin hoods bay area .....RTeally fancy giving it a go me self but really wanna get some practice in first with someone whos realy competent with me ....Cheers

One of my best friends used to be Scotland BSAC Snorkelling Coach (or whatever she was called) but doesn't do that any more because of (unrelated) health issues.

What I'm saying is that these are out there, however few they may be. Have a trawl through the BSAC's websites.
