Dive Centre Assistant required for summer 2010
Who are we?
Discover Diving is a TDI 5 star centre, BSAC Centre of Excellence and PADI dive centre. A full diver training programme operates throughout the year. We have a busy dive club with over 100 members. We run regular instructor training events. We teach everything from basic snorkelling to mixed gas rebreathers. We are the Isle of Man’s only technical dive centre.
We also operate the Isle of Man’s only purpose built hardboat charter service. We host nearly 300 visiting divers during the summer season and regularly work with film crews and photographers.
What do you get?
Free accommodation. Free use of kit. Free gas fills.
Training with BSAC, PADI and/or TDI for cost of course materials and certification. Training will be according to your current skill level and interests, but can include diver grade progression, instructor development, service technician, gas blending, boat handling.
Masses of experience in supporting diving activities, crewing the boat, dive deck supervision, kit preparation.
Some fantastic diving in some of the best dive sites in the British Isles.
A great time and a great addition to your cv.
What do you need to apply?
You need to enjoy diving and being involved in dive operations.
You should be qualified to a minimum of BSAC Sports or PADI Rescue.
You need to have a good sense of humour, like working with people (and divers), be adaptable, be prepared for long hours and have good sea legs.
You should be available for the entire of July and August, and preferably June as well.
You will have to pay for your own food & transport to the Isle of Man if necessary.
