Hi,
this is my first ever post to the forum so be gentle with me!
Does anyone know how to find sensibly priced life insurance as a reacreational diver? I have recently become a father and now feel it necessary to further protect my family should the worst occur. Having applied and being told 150k life cover would cost 29 pounds per month I was then sent several forms about my diving activities which I duly filled in. Im a dive leader with 5 years experience, 170 logged dives, and typically dive 30 times a year, some of these dives to my maximum qualified depth of 50m. Upon sending the forms back I was then advised it would cost 58 pounds per month to cover me- extortion. I will have to give up diving if I cant find anything more reasonably priced than this! Surely insurance companies dont judge recreational diving to be as high risk as every other combined risk in my life! Driving my car to work, crossing a busy street, cancer, heart disease!!!
Any help or advice much appreciated.
Peter.
