View Full Version : DAKOTA as a shore dive ?.
Hi folks
Looking at the DAKOTA near to Amlwch.
The GPS coordinates put if very cose to the shore apprix 250 feet.
Is it possible to do it as a shore dive and is so wher is the best access and car parking to give sortest carry distance.
Thanks Gary
It is close to the shore, but it is a rocky headland with no access to the water's edge (and is occupied by some sort of factory anyway). The usual method of accessing it is by boat from Bull Bay or Amlwch. The tides can be fairly strong over the Dakota as well, so all in all I wouldn't recommend it as a shore dive.
If you can get boat cover, however, it can be (IMHO) a good dive. There are a number of dive boat operators in the area if you are interested.

Excellent! I didn't even know that feature existed. Thanks, Nigel.
