Hello,
I would like to know if anyone had problems with this dive light.
Mine flooded on the first dive and before anyone can make any remarks i know how to ensure that a dive light does not flood.
In any case the shop replaced the electronics FOC. But ever since then the light sucked the batteries empty in about 45 minutes, my dive buddy gets 3 hours of of a set of batteries.
Now yesterday the light stopped igniting, we can just see a littel spark inside the bulb and then nothing.

We fitted the bulb unit to an other lightcannon and it did not work so i went to the shop. Well they where no great help the owner said he has to send a e-mail to the manufacturer after guessing that the buld is gone.

Considering that the light is only 2 month old and made only 6 dives i thought that was rather unimpressive. And that is very much in difference to the experience my Training Officer made with his two lights, the reason i got mine in the first palce.
If anyone had a similar experience and got a solution please advise.

I had a problem with the bulb failing after only a dozen dives. I went straight to the importers Sea & Sea, who asked me to post them the entire electronics and lense unit which they replaced. No problems since.

I know the retailer has a legal responsibility, but it might get a faster solution to talk to Sea & Sea direct. Their website is www.sea-sea.com.

It is a fantastic light which I have been very happy with.

Good luck

David

As a side note, there is an issue with fitting the bulb the wrong way round. This may have been the case after they repalced the unit. I know of some people in our club who replaced the bulb the wrong way round and found this out. The upshot is that if the bulb is in the wrong way (and it is very easy to put it in wrong) then it will shorten the life of the bulb. Now this could be the same as the problem with sucking the cells dry so fast...

Of course YMMV,
