Hi all,

I am trying to find a zipped binder to hold my qualification sheets and BSAC log book sheets. It seems there are a lot of 3 ring binders out there but I can not find one which accepts the 6 ring pages BSAC uses. Any ideas? Is it possible to get BSAC qualification pages for 3 ring binders???

Do or are BSAC going to be doing there own, not too keen on the plastic ones you get in your Ocean Diver pack, not very practical! :)

Thanks

I got a leather Filofax binder off eBay for 6 quid. It's nice and works well.

Have designed my own logbook pages to fit into it, too. http://www.dive-logs.com/ Not the cheapest way of recording your dives, but the service cuts out all the hassle of printing your own design of pages.

BSAC shop now sell 6 hole ring binder logs sheets
Not as much choice as www.dive-logs.com, but cheaper

The problem is tables I think they might just fit in the 3 hole Padi Binders
anyone know, no chance with the dive logs 6 hole binder

Might give up and go 3 hole and buy 3 hole sheets from dive-logs

I suppose the question is... why does BSAC have to be different and go for the 6 ring 'filofax' standard as opposed to the widespread 3 ring system?

If you walk into a stationary store to obtain say a 2 page diary or day per page or some ruled paper for notes, which format do you suppose they would have readily to hand.

I've not seen the 3 ring system outside of the States. It was a pain in the arse when I did (non-diving) courses in the states and had to bring the notes back home.

I was searching for a more diplomatic way of saying it

would not be so bad if the tables would fit in the 6 hole binder
I just want it all in the same place

When I was still working we had an adjustable "hole puncher" in the office although, as printers, we also had commercial versions. It was simply easier to have "our own" in the office for the little of that we were obliged to do. IIRC the commercial machine, fully automatic, punched those holes at some 1000 sheets per (automatic) batch at +/- 1/1000th of a millimetre, or thereabouts.

Surely you guys can find one of those adjustable ones in your neck of the woods?

No point trying to be diplomatic... I just asked the question. Which hasn't really been answered.

Perhaps BSAC could source their own 6 ring zipped binder similar to the iQ Dive Bites Logbook Binder sold by watersports warehouse.

Probably the filofax format... sold at a premium. But then I wouldn't really be looking for a 2 page diary or day per page or some ruled paper for notes.

Filofax are notoriously expensive, the binders don't even have the option of zips.
