I?ve just received my August copy of the BSAC Talk newsletter that is sent to EVERY branch. You should all see a copy on your notice board, that?s what we?ve designed it for, if you don?t then have a word with your committee! The August copy isn?t online yet (it should be next week) but the archive of all BSAC Talk editions can be found on <a href="http://www.bsac.org/services/talk/index.html" >http://www.bsac.org/services/talk/index.html</a>

There?s a few bits in there that are pertinent to some recent threads on these boards so I?ll give a few highlights ? see the full newsletter for further details :

Branch Marketing Pack : We mentioned a few months ago we were doing one, it?s got all kinds of help and info to help you market your branch more effectively. Well, it?s ready and we?ll be sending a copy to every branch!

Risk Assessment Section : Due to the many queries that we receive the Technical Department have put together a section on the web site for you, you can find it on <a href="http://www.bsac.org/techserv/ra/raintro.htm" >http://www.bsac.org/techserv/ra/raintro.htm</a>

Try Dive Information : There?s some new information for branches in sheet T.12 on <a href="http://www.bsac.org/techserv/tecpubs1.htm#technical" >http://www.bsac.org/techserv/tecpubs1.htm#technical</a>

BSAC Welfare Policy : This is something that we?re highlighting again, it is VERY important that branches take note of this. Further info on <a href="http://www.bsac.org/techserv/welfare/welfareintro.htm" >http://www.bsac.org/techserv/welfare/welfareintro.htm</a>

There?s several other pieces of information, events and diary dates etc. in this months BSAC Talk, it?s designed to be read by all of our members so have a read :-) If you like I?ll try to arrange for a quick summary as above (I?ll probably end up doing it!) to be posted every month so that you know what to look out for!

Cheers
