Replacing Lost Logbook

I've not been diving for over 5 years but was previously a BSAC qualified sports diver. I want to take up diving again but I can't find my logbook/training record anywhere. Can I assume that BSAC will have me on record somewhere and will be able to re-issue my training record if I re-join the club? Do I need to contact BSAC direct or do I need to go through a club? Any advice...?
