Trying to find a Belinda?

Just a long shot but recently I was out in Kalkan in Turkey and was diving with a Belinda from a BASC club that was based in Northern England. I have a CD of photos for her that was left behind that she hoped to show to club members. If you know of her can you tell her I need her address so I can send the CD on.

You have done all that you can, with so little to go on it is hardly surprising that nobody can help you. Your only hope is for a friend who sees this to pass a message. The BSAC itself cannot help you, the Data Protection Act prevents us from dealing with all such enquiries and our membership information is confidential anyway.

OK I'll try.
First you should understand that it is not a good idea to pass on anyone else's email address or details in case they don't want to be contacted, I believe you when you say that you have this CD of photo's for this woman called Belinda, but you could also be a debt collector or some nutter stalking her.
Can't be too careful with these things.
I'm sure people will pass on your information to Belinda so that she can contact you instead if she wishes to.

Try the website pages with the lists of BSAC clubs in the North East and North west, maybe there's some other information you have that can whittle the lists down a bit to shorten your search.
Also, is there anything on the CD that might give you a clue as to her club's identity?

I do understand where you are coming from. I dont want her address just for somebody who may know her to let her know I am looking to send the CD's to her, or her club. She had my address to send a picture on to me if it came out but as I have'nt heard from her I guess it did'nt come out . I am willing to send the CD's to your HQ I was just trying to help a fellow diver.

The resource required for HQ to do as you request is something they are not staffed up to do. The Data Protection Act also would prevent HQ from forwarding any data you supplied on to the individual, without their consent.

Individuals might be able to help you; HQ or her branch can't (Branches have to follow DP legislation as well).

If the pictures include other people then HQ or the branch would require their permission, as well, for the pictures to be passed on.

Have you tried the dive operator in Kalkan? She would presumably have had to fill in paperwork there and that might include an address.
Other than that, you could put something in the free small ads at the back of the main 2 dive magazines asking her to get in touch.
