Electronic Voting : Update

Hi All

Following some recent threads HQ have investigated this and produced a full report with all of the practicalities, costs etc. of doing this. Only HQ, the Hon Sec, Chair and me have seen this so far, we want to put it to full Council for them to comment before we can say whether this is practical or not.

So just this quick post to let you know what?s going on, we?ll get back to you when we?ve had a chance to discuss this fully and in some more detail.

Thank you for the effort and time spend to find a solution. I hope that the full council does understand the impact such a electronic voting system could have on member participation levels in future elections and votes.
Hopefully a significant increase or i will be looking like an Ass.

Lets send Keith lots of positive replys to make it easy for the council to agree, let the opinion of the masses be heard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Errrr... please don't, my inbox is big enough as it is! :-) Seriously though, we go on practicalities and the "best for the club overall" and not inbox size. Personally I am very much for a move to electronic voting and I will be putting my case to Council when we discuss it in full at the next meeting in September. If we can do this then I would like it used for the major Council elections due next year.
