Hi Everyone,

I read these boards once or twice per month. If I haven't 'checked in' for a while I see a message reading

"The following 500 messages have been found.
( since your last visit: Thu, Jan 01, 1970, 01:00:00)"

I raised this with Mike (Webmaster) last year but it's still happening. Am I alone or is this happening accross the board?

Re "Dive"; I haven't received a copy since Easter. I threw my teddy in the corner 2 years ago over this (I went a year receiving none/4 months late due to my geographic location, yet I had paid a wopping 50 quid membership to BSAC direct!) Is anyone else experiencing same?

Hello,
if you go back a couple of topics you will find some regarding this years voting ballot arriving late delivered with Dive.
I can only say "Welcome in the club".
You can pay additional fees and than Dive comes via airmail, that take than only 3 month instead of the normal 6.

There does seem to be some problem with our overseas members receiving stuff from HQ and Dive Magazine. Is anyone at HQ picking up on this, and can then be able to provide some assurances for these guys and gals on this? It seems that it's something that we ought to be looking at - especially as one of these gents wanted to vote, and ended up not being able to because of the late delivery of the voting papers. Very pertinent when you realise the voting numbers at the last election.

...thanks for the replies. I'm pleased to say that Mike (webmaster) and Mary/Sandra (HQ) have contacted me & will be doing something about the problems highlighted in my initial post.

.....in update to my earlier post I have paid GBP 53.00 for membership of 'Bsac direct' but have refused to fork out a further 40.00 (3.33 per issue) for airmail. The only solution was for me to have the magazine delivered to my UK address & for my family to pass it on (for considerably less than 3.33!!)

In this technological era wouldn't it be easier for Bsac to publish the magazine online? They'd still receive the revenue from it by making it available to members only!

You can get Diver Magazine on-line every month and it does not cost a penny!

Thank you:)

"Dive" have a website but it's effectivly an advert for the Magazine (ie you cannot read the articles, letters etc). I therefore have to pay the 40 quid airmail fee or wait the mandatory 4-6 months for a copy to arrive.

Perhaps Bsac should return to "Diver"?
