Why does it always do this to me at weekends or when the IT guy is on holiday :-(
We?ve got a network problem at HQ again, it failed at around 06:30 this morning all on its own. It might be related to our problems of a few weeks back, we?re still running on our emergency settings that we used to get around that one. At present HQ have no internet routing, this means that all of our HQ email lists and the personal xxx@bsac.com email addresses aren?t working, they are all sitting in a huge queue on our mail server waiting for a link to the outside world. Nothing should be lost, it should all be held in queues waiting for connectivity to be restored.
I?ve alerted the people who know about these things, but being the weekend it may be Monday before we can fix it. It is only HQ and bsac.com email that is affected by this, all of our web sites will be operating normally as they are on a separate server that isn?t located at HQ.
Once again my apologies, we?re now VERY close to our new network configuration that is specifically designed to cope with faults like this. But once again the damn thing has beaten me to it by failing in yet another fashion (it chooses a different way to fail every time!) before we?ve had a chance to get the new systems in place.
