If you're thinking of diving Menai, then (IMHO) you will need a great deal more than that.

I would start with Chart 1464, a Holyhead tide table and Chris Holden's excellent book which in this case truly is "The =essential= u/water guide to N Wales".

The Menai Sub-Aqua Club website is full of info on diving around North Wales. You will find slack water times for most areas of the Strait at http://www.menaisubaqua.org/menai.html. Chris Holden's book ( http://calgopublications.co.uk/) also has lots of information on diving in the Strait and other sites around the North West Wales coasts.

By the way, the vis is pretty good in the Strait today and will continue to do so whilst we have little or no wind! :-)

Good, could you please try to keep it that way until I've actually managed to see the wildlife down there ? ;-)
(Especially for the weekend of 31st July)
Every time I go to Menai/Anglesey it's like diving in a cup of tea :O
Cheers
