Dear all,

Anyone owning any of the CD HID range of torches may or may not know of the shock awaiting you when you come to replace the bulb.

?90 or there abouts.

Now, I'm not having a public "pop" at CD because I have several of their products (including a HID Torch) and I'm absolutely delighted with all of them however, I think it's only right and fair for owners of their HID range to know that they can purchase replacement bulbs direct from the manufactures for (aprox) ?25.00 per item + P&P

Sort of makes a mockery of the ?70 (aprox) trade price I was shown today.

Granted you have to order the replacement units from the good 'ole US of A but never the less, I costed two genuine units and the P&P for less than the cost of one here in the UK.

I've emailed CD just to let them know as well.

Just looking at the Website there, it looks like they will actually ship for free.

Cheers for that because I missed that bit of information from their website.

You may find that Customs and Excise add considerably to that figure.

Say up to 7% duty then VAT. At most another six and a bit quid.
Not a bad price for a HID bulb. They were silly when they first came out.
