Having just today reiceved my ballot (10days after it should have been back in the UK)i was wondering if any one else had a similar problem.
Could this be a sign that BSAC is concentrating more on the UK Divers than the NON UK Divers?
If George Bush would have been stading for election i would have not been surprised that a potential large group of voters has been stopped from voting. (Please take this as what it is meant, a Joke)

Probably much more to do with the British Postal System than BSAC.

No, not this time, but I'm frequently amazed when my mail cannot apparently make it across the Mersey. Recently, two letters arrived here in Liverpool, England on the same day. One took three days from Christchurch, NZ, and the other three weeks from Glasgow, Scotland (First Class post, of course). Each was perfectly addressed, with postcode and type-written.
Draw your own conclusion.

Khaled,
You're not alone - I received mine with just one day to go to the deadline. This was no better than being 10 days late - as I'm in Hong Kong.
Fortunately things are picking up - the very next day I received the following month's copy of Dive. So I had two magazines to read that week!
I'm not sure what control BSAC can exert to improve the distribution, but they may want to ask some stiff questions of those they are employing to distribute the magazine on their behalf.
I wait with baited breath to see when the next posting will arrive.
Cheers,
Tristan

Trsitan,
Thanks for letinh m know that i was not alone.
After the initial anger over the situation recided i was thinking about the situation and came to the following conclusion.
The BSAC Concil does not give any priority to overseas BSAC members, that is shown by the continues lack of reporting in the magazine. Just consider how many report there have been on drysuits and undergarmets.
The next sure point is that the ballots are send out on a time line which gives only UK or at best European members to chance to send in the bollats in time to be counted.
I am no expert of British Law but any person must agree that e-mailing the pallots would be a lot cheaper than printing them and sending them with the magazine. Even if they have to provide printed bollots than they could have been send out 3-4 month prior to the vote to ensure that every members has a fair chance to make his voice heared.
I hope that any BSAC Council Member reads the message and has the decency to reply (without political Mombo Jambo).
