Hi Kevin

See the link I've provided, that gives you a lot more information, for even more detail try http://www.bsac.org/techserv/salt.pdf

If you're a PADI OW diver then you become a BSAC Ocean Diver, we'll give you an introduction to the club, a lesson about our decompression tables and a quick skill review - then you're a BSAC diver.

It depends a lot on which club you join, some do more training than others. What I suggest you do is look at our branch locator ( http://www.bsac.org/branches/branchlist.htm) and give a few local branches a visit as a guest for the evening. Talk to people in the club, tell them about yourself and ask them about training further with the BSAC.

You wont be alone Kevin, thousands of divers cross over from PADI and the other agencies every year to enjoy the benefits of our club environment.

Kind Regards

Keith L

Kevin

I'm sorry I missed your call the other day. Please try again. I should be in most of the day.

Keith has given the details you wanted, but you might want to hear about branch costs too.

Just out of interest I'd like to cross over from PADI as Specialty instructor, to the equivilent BSAC level. However, I have no idea where I start or who I contact. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Have a look at the links I gave Kevin, there's instructor crossover info in there. See also the new link. It's probably worth giving HQ a buzz, they will be happy to explain things to you.
