Any using Miflex hoses on their twinset? If you are what length have you used for the secondary reg off the left hand post that's normally under your chin?
I've a standard hose on my current rig on a side mounted 1st stage which routes down then a tight 90 deg turn then across the back of my neck then a wide 180 turn to the 2nd stage. If I use a 90cm it's a bit to long a 70cm is def too short.

Myflex start at 20cm  through to 90cm and longer but I really want to use the minimum length that gives full head movement. I suspect I can use less than 70cm but would like some confirmation
65cm on mine, gives full range of movement. Any longer and it hangs over my right shoulder.

Nick,
Myflex, being more flexible, may allow for a shorter "long" hose, but it is also dependent on your own stature anyway so if you're 5' 2" (I don't know) and I'm 6' 2" (I do know) then I'm going to need a slightly longer hose than you do given that we route them the same way and all other things are equal (dry suits, etc).

That's what I initially thought but the web page says they're regulator hoses

Hadn't given the long hose much thought; it was for the short hose that I wanted an indication of length. Wonder if I could use a shorter long hose as well? mind you it's only going to be bungied to the tank so it's not really critical ;)

The shorter reg hoses could be for rebreathers and the like. However I suspect it's because some people will want a short BCD hose, and it's just as easy to make a reg hose as a BC hose. So you may as well offer it.

I would use a 22" (56cm) hose with Scubapro Mk25's (the have a shorter routing with a port on the end of the first stage). With anything Apeks or similar 24" (60cm) is ideal.
Anything longer and it's easy to catch your fingers in the loop of hose as you reach for your right post, any shorter and you'll find your movement is limited as you turn your head to the left in the water

20cm sounds about right for the miflex hose that runs from the Dil first stage to manifold on my Sentinel...

So it looks like a toss up between 60 and 65 as my regs are Oceanic. Might have to get the string out..

Apologies if it seemed like i was been condesending in the other post...
If it were me, and it was a toss between 60 and 65 cm of hose, i would probably go 65cm.
-Its not much extra length to stow, which ever method you deem suitable;)
-It gives increased flexiblity of movement, as more hose is available
-It allows for a slightly improved future proofing of equipment, as you may not always have the same Wing/Regs.
Flip side
-slightly more hose to get snagged, if it does. Somewhat dependant on routing/stowing methods.
That said, personal choice on your body shape and tastes. But on limited evaluation, that little more would seem to offer a little more versatility.

I suspect 60cm is the right choice, but it is worth getting the string out, unless you can borrow a hose to check. Or better still, putting a long hose on the secondary, then bending it round in the right position, then measuring that.
Also, do you have the hoses crossing behind your head. HP will have his secondary coming from his left-hand tin, behind his head, then over the right shoulder.

Secondary is off left post then behind head to 2nd stage over right shoulder. It's the big 180 bend that's quite long with a standard rubber hose. I can't quite figure how tight a bend, if that the right word, I can get away with using a Miflex. String should be bendy enought to check though

Gotcha. If you can borrow a longer myflex hose, then that might still be better than string?
