Excellent diving, though the best is along the Moray Coast which is less silty than the NE coast. Numerous clubs in and around Aberdeen, depending on where you end up. Different club interests vary but between them cover most options from training & scenic to wreckie-techie. Check out links from BSAC branch web site page or contact me off forum for more info.

I'll second Iain's comments - some very nice wrecks up here as well as nice scenic stuff too. All depths catered for from very scenic shore dives right down to 90m+ wrecks with new ones being found all the time. Plenty of clubs in the area all very friendly and welcoming and all very active. I can heartily recommend the Deeside club: <a href="http://www.deesidedivers.org" >http://www.deesidedivers.org</a> - not that I'm biased of course! ;o)
Also check out Bill Ruck's website at <a href="http://www.moraydiving.com" >http://www.moraydiving.com</a> which gives some good info on some of the Moray Firth dive sites.
We're also very active in the Region with SDC's - always on the look out for prospective students and/or instructors.
