Hi all,

Heading for Coromandel on North Island, NZ in May 2010.

Any pointers towards the diving and any favoured dive operators?

Did NZ about ten years, around the north of South Island (Picton etc) Seriously beautiful and untouched. Scallops were 5 metres under the boat! One downside was that the water was flippin freezing!

Lemme hear from you :)

Cheers

Have a look at

There was a good liveaboard operating out of Tairua once.

We visited http://www.divetairua.co.nz/
and went out to the Alderman Island. Nice boat and had a really good time.

Used Dive Tairua twice and would use again. Looked at Hahei but wasn't impressed. Further details in my NZ trip reports on bsactravelclub website.

Hi,

You could contact BSAC New Zealand (Branch No 2455) (http://groups.google.com/group/bsacnz) which is based in Auckland to obtain a local perspective.
