Hi Guys,

I figured I would ask the group if anyone knows where I can get a USB cable to download logs from my Quantum.

I have seen the offending articles for the offensive price of £90-129 on various UK sites but lets face it, not many ppl are going to pay almost the cost of the DC for a USB cable which costs pennies to manufacture.

I think anything more than £50 is obscene for a new cable!

I have also seen a website of a guy who provides home brew details on making one, however this is not a UK site, and despite a number of attempts at making contact there seems to be on-one responding to the mailbox. :(

My only other option is to ask you all if anyone is willing to part with a used one for a sensible price?

Can anyone help?

Hi PeteM,

I appreciate any replied on this, but £70 is more than I consider acceptable for what is basically a USB lead with a PLC attached. These cost nothing to manufacture. :(

Thanks for the link regarding the home brew interface. Ive had a look at it now, and I think Im getting to old to start hacking away :p

Does anyone on here have such a lead for sale?

I have a download lead for the quantum, £70 inc postage in the UK. It is a genuine lead in an apeks box. I is a brill bit of kit, dive profile graphs are very good. You need to clean the 2 contacts on the computer with a rubber to get a good connection and it only takes seconds to do the download.
