Hi Everyone,
In the past few weeks I have seen a number of old style self build filter cartridges on different compressors and they all had the same fault, the felt pads had not been changed at the time the chemicals had been changed. This is a serious error and can lead to blockages as the felt breaks down or uncontrolled pressure build up in the filter chamber if the air cannot pass through the pads. Most filter chambers will take disposable cartridges and this is a much better / safer way towards good quality air.

I didnt think the old style you refer to were allowed in commecial use anymore for exactly this reason... might be wrong

These filters were on club / branch owned compressors.
