Hey everyone and happy new year.

I was wondering if I could buy an extended warranty to go along with my new dive gear?

If you can / could get an extended warranty to cover against accidental damage etc, would you advise me to spend the money on it or save my cash?

You would be better off buying kit insurance as this is likely to be cheaper and covers you for more things such as ditching in an emergency. Look at people like DiveMaster and Westfield.

Alternatively ask how much it would be to add to your house insurance but be aware that this often excludes cover for sporting equipment whilst in use

Pete's answer is spot on. I would just add that you are probably wasting your money (insurance is a legal form of theft) unless you are very clumsy or dive in places where your gear might get stolen. Even then the insurance company will try to get out of paying or give you half what the kit is worth...

Insurance... Mmmm, well I've got all mine covered on my house insurance but had to itemise everything and tell them. I have had to make one claim and it was delt with in less than a day! So try house insurance, get a quote from all and find the best!
Hope that suggest other avenues!
