Manta Dive Center operation, apart of being a BS-AC Premier Dive Center, is also the base of the scientific Artificial Reef Project, a partnership between Manta Diving Center and the Cape Verdian Government. This project as the scientific management made by IPIMAR, the Portuguese Sea and Fishing Institute, the Lisbon Oceanarium and the University of Algarve.
The Dive Leader is wanted from the beginning of October and the end of April 2010.
The Dive Leader will be paid 300€ per month plus sales commissions; the lunch and accommodation will be covered. He will pay is private consumption of water and electricity.
The duties are as follows:
To promote Try Dives among all the guests of the hotels.
To provide cover as required on Artificial Reef Project supporting the scientists, Pleasure Diving and snorkelling as directed by the Dive Operations Manager.
To ensure that all dive teams for which you will be responsible conform fully with the dive safety and operating procedures on site and within BSAC standards.
To assist with the running of the Dive Operations Centre as required. (I.e. issuing equipment, monitoring the radio, filling tanks, etc).
To carry out such other duties as may from time to time be required for the efficient operation of the Manta Diving Center.
To spend time with guests and ensure that they are well looked after.
