Anyone with any experience with this condition, especially in relation to Full Faces masks I would be interested to hear about it, either on the forum or via PM.
Cheers,
John

To my knowledge I've not experienced hypercapnia but I have sometimes used a full face mask.
Yes, they have a tendency, or at least some of them do, to encourage hypercapnia if used incorrectly but that last is the point.
Shouldn't this be on the medical forum? :)

Hypercapnia is one of the main topics on rebreather groups.
Which is probably why most manufacturers insist you don't use a FFM.
I've had a CO2 hit on a rebreather (seven years ago now) but never on a FFM or a full helmet.

I'm not sure what you are wanting here. I have personally had a CO2 hit on a rebreather and have dealt with two more, one rebreather and one open circuit but none with a full face mask. What information are you looking for?

Looking for factual, real world exaples of cases of hypercapnia while diving, as this could happen due to several root causes, im particularly interested in those while it has occured while using a FFM.
For the purpose of specific point highlighting, in relation to relivence of the topic on the FFM SDC.
